One Wish

As I come to you,
How many wishes can I make?
—No one has ever asked me.

Everyday I see males and females
Come to me with a penny
But wish for the world
Each time they throw in a penny
Their wishes so heavy,
It instantly sinks.

If they would listen,
I would tell them to wait before it falls.
I would say,
Think about the one thing you
want the most…

What we don’t know,
Is much more than we know
The future will come,
So what is it you desire the most
in this moment?
