Having an oil diffuser may not be an essential home item. However it comes with many unseen benefits that are very helpful. I am going to share with you a few ways in which an oil diffuser can be useful. Oil diffusers come with many benefits depending on what essential oil you use; they all come with their different advantages.


Cleanses Air & Safe Scent-dispersion

Oil diffusers and electric diffuser cleanse the air. They are a great alternative compared to scented candles & air fresheners because they are not a fire hazard. It doesn’t let out unhealthy chemicals that are bad for your health.


Relaxation

Essential oils such as peppermint, orange, lavender, lemon grass, eucalyptus, and tea tree. Help to put you in a relaxing mood.


Decongestion & Mucus Relief

Oil diffusers are very helpful when you have a cold and a blocked nose. If you use the necessary oils such as peppermint and eucalyptus; these oils help with relieving congestion.


Improved Sleep

Nighttime is the best time to have your oil diffuser on. Many of its benefits contribute to having an improved sleep. Winter and allergy season are great times to use an oil diffuser, talking from personal experience. It helped me get a better night sleep during the nights; where I struggled with a cold and found it difficult to breathe.

The free radicals that are responsible in forming harmful bacteria are broken down by essential oils. Oils such as peppermint when released in the air therefore preventing mold.


Mosquito Defense & Bug Repellent

Oil diffusers are great at confronting mosquitos and bugs. It is a safe way to keep bugs away and harmful chemicals are not released. On the other hand when using repellents they can have chemicals that are very toxic. Essential oils such as lemon grass, eucalyptus, lavender etc. are great at fending off mosquitoes.

Mosquitoes dislike the scents mentioned and so it keeps them away from your room. There are other bugs such as cockroaches who will stay away. They also dislike many scents of essential oils such as lavender.
